

1st off, the Apparel Mart is a beautiful space. The day started as usual meeting at PPR to pick up equipment and then heading over to the location. We had enough stuff to open our own photo rental shop....And I thought I carried around a ton of stuff!!!! We get our badges from the front desk and then head to the loading docks to pack up and head up to the top floor. We got off the elevators and set up in a dark little corner and proceeded to get started.
List the responsibilities or duties performed.
1) Met at PPR to gather all equipment for the upcoming week.
2) Contact GIM Computers to see if they have USB to Firewire converter
3) Unload all equipment in loading dock at the Apparel Mart for Prom Dress Shoot (Wow Prom)
4) Staple white backdrop to the wall
5) Unfold portable “stage” attach white backdrop paper
6) Act as stylist, dresser and jewelry selector
7) Fan: dramatic hair and dress blower
8) Moving equipment to multiple locations
9) Make sure Danny didn’t forget to contact accountant to file for extension
10) Contact Merry Maids to get a quote for a house cleaner
11) Compiled lists of things Danny wants us to do in the next few weeks. (office duties, updating website, photoshop/editing etc)
12) Continuously tightening the quick release plate to the ring flash so it would remain stationary while Danny shot
13) Making a list of items we needed for the shoot
List difficulties and how you solved them.
1) Purchased a tool box of items used in previous shoots so I would be ready
2) Shooting in multiple locations around the advertising office and how to get the equipment there as quickly as possible
Describe any interesting experiences on the job and new knowledge, skill, or techniques learned.
* Learning that Danny had discussed how each person would like there headshot to look. He based this on how they think the customers portray them and how he views his customers. What their job duties are and what they want their customers to think of them.
*Shooting with a ring flash (an actual light that plugs into a pack)… I want one!!! *Using a strobe with a beauty dish and a grid.
* How Danny Interacted with the client and the models.
